Clam Chowder

6 or more chopped clams (save liquid)

1/4 tsp. white pepper

2 cups boiling water

1 quart milk

2 tbs. butter

2 medium diced onions

2 1/2 cups diced potatoes

1/2 cup diced celery

1/2 tsp. salt

Saute onions with white wine for about 5 minutes.  Add potatoes, celery, seasonings and then water.  Cover pan and simmer for about 10 minutes.  Add chopped clams, liquid, then milk and butter.  Heat and thicken with corn starch.  Stir constantly until creamy.
